36 intrepid members bravely travelled to the Swan Theatre at High Wycombe to see a matinee performance of the intense and terrifying psychological drama Woman In Black
Based on the book by Susan Hill, the stage play was originally adapted by Stephen Mallatratt and ran in the West End for 13,232 performances over three decades - second only to The Mousetrap.
The story is based on a lawyer - obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black - who engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul.
The cast of two actors is, of course, augmented by the ghost - the Woman in Black.
