Mamma Mia at Novello Theatre
80 members enjoyed a performance of Mamma Mia at the Novello Theatre in London's West End.
This musical, which has been seen by over 60 million people worldwide, is a celebration of Abba's timeless music woven into a plot which revolves around Sophie and her mother Donna and her wedding on a Greek island. Sophie doesn't know the identity of her father but, unknown to her mother, has invited to the wedding the three most likely candidates to be her log-lost Dad.
The cast performed with great energy and really did justice to the creativity of Abba.
After the final curtain call, the cast performed 'Waterloo' and 'Dancing Queen' to the de;ight of the audience who were invited to sing along.
A really 'feel good' show which provided another excellent day out.
